  • Starting off with a Bang!

Midnight hit, and it was nothing but champagne, kisses, and giggles. We were off to a new year. I can not help but be amazed how different this year was for me than last year. How optimistic I am for 2012, and how content I was with the way 2011 ended. Where as New Years Eve on 2010, that was a different story. That year’s end was met with pain, sadness, discontent, and a need to move on to 2011.
2011 had some hard times, some pain, and sadness. Most recent sadness being the loss of a woman who I had lovingly supported for 3 years. 2011 help heartbreak for me, dealing with that final break in an oh-so unhealthy “friendship” with a guy, who was not terribly popular amongst my friends, and now I see why. 2011 held infestations! Bed-bugs being the top traumatic bug related event of my year. Only to be met close second by a plague of fleas at work. This past year was my first real car accident, when I totalled my Jetta, oh how I’ll miss it. This year I dealt with having to move back home, and being bedless for a couple months. On the brightside, 2011 delivered me my first memory foam mattress, enthusiastically ordered from Overstock.com. There were many frustrations with Temple University, Montgomery County Community College, work and everything else this past year. I babysat and got paid with a bad check. Tons of financial stress. Stresses of unhleathy loved ones, (and even some healthy ones). But all in all, I think the good outweighed the bad.
2011 also brought me home to my family. Although a financial neccesity, I am happy about being here. 2011 brought love, engagements and weddings!!! Not only 1, but 2 couples who I adore dearly were married in September, and I was able to attending both ceremonies. 2011 had babies! My cousin overseas had her first child! To top of 2011, a week before new years, my friend announced she too was pregnant with her first child! Wow! Finally, in 2011, I met a wonderful guy who I have a one of a kind realtionship with. I got to spend the holidays with both of our families, and witness all of the love that came along with that. 2011 taught me what it is to be cared for in a relationship, and what it is like to be in a healthy relationship. So thank you 2011, you have served me well, but I look forward to the rest of 2012, the many weddings I have planned to attend. The babies yet to be born. The friends yet to meet. School, work, and every professional opportunity which comes my way.

    Cheers~
